2018 Cheerleading Information
Daphne Youth cheerleading squads cheer for our Daphne Youth football teams throughout Baldwin County, mainly on Saturdays. Game times range from as early as 8:00 am to as late as 1:00 pm while weekday games are held in the evening at 6:00 and 7:00 pm. Cheerleaders also participate in a middle school game preforming with the DMS cheerleaders, Daphne Youth night at Daphne High School and other community events including the homecoming parade and Christmas parade.
Daphne Youth Cheerleading depends on volunteer coordinators to run the program. Tracy Pratt has been running this program for many years and has done an excellent job making this program a huge success. Moving forward, our program will be ran by two women who have been working under Tracy, learning the ropes for the last 5 years. 2018’s new program directors are Tara Wyman and Kassie Foster.
This year, we have decided to waive all registration fees. We are implementing a new sponsorship program that helps cover that cost as well as giving local companies the opportunity to be more involved with the community. This year we will also be introducing a new uniform. The uniform is a “Bow to Toe” package and will include all the items needed to cheer. Jackets and add on items (extra bloomers, socks, bows, etc) will also be made available. The uniform will still be the financial responsibility of the parents; however, fundraising is an option. Fundraising information will be passed out at the time of fittings. When registering please take special care to check the dates in your follow up email regarding fittings as these will be the only two days available.
